Role Overview
The Senior Quality Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for leading the Quality function and overseeing day‑to‑day quality operations and compliance activities for H&H across South‑East Asia. This position ensures that all products consistently meet stringent regulatory requirements, aligned with H&H internal quality standards, while supporting key business objectives such as profitability, portfolio growth and market expansion across diverse SEA markets.
Safeguards product integrity and consumer safety through the maintenance of a robust Quality Management System (QMS), effective oversight of CMs and distributors. Leads release-for-distribution activities, manages OOS, deviations, complaints and investigations, and ensures full adherence to Quality Agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure overall quality and compliance of all H&H products across SEA, delivering consistent, high‑quality products that meet regulatory and customer requirements
- Oversee Quality Leadership Team (QLT) activities to ensure alignment with global quality standards, systems and processes
- Act as Quality Lead for projects impacting SEA markets, including new product introductions and lifecycle management
- Manage and participate in contract manufacturer (CM) relationships, including quality review meetings, audits and ongoing performance oversight
- Review and evaluate product formulations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, specifications and market requirements
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and understanding of each product and its supply chain.
- Notify senior management of significant challenges that may impact product quality, regulatory compliance (e.g. OOS, OOT) or supply, as well as key Quality & Compliance metrics
- Apply sound risk‑based decision‑making principles in product disposition and quality management activities
- Collaborate closely with global and regional stakeholders (e.g. China, EU, Global Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing
- Lead specification development, review and approval with strong attention to detail and regulatory accuracy
- Manage sponsor quality responsibilities for third‑party manufacturers producing H&H products
- Oversee the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, ensuring timely, compliant and effective outcomes
- Develop, review and approve SOPs and controlled documents to maintain a compliant and efficient QMS
- Manage stability programs for both new and existing products across relevant markets
- Lead change control activities (internal and external) and ensure effective implementation.
- Drive quality investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective CAPA implementation
- Lead the management of deviations, non‑conformances and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Benchmark industry best practices and implement improvements to enhance quality performance and compliance maturity
- Promote OH&S standards and contribute to a positive, engaged and high‑performing work environment
- Coach, develop and manage the performance of regional Quality team, building future leadership capability
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or complementary medicines manufacturing environments e.g. TGA, FDA, FSANZ, PIC/S, with demonstrated experience in a Quality leadership role
- Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role, with accountability for regional or multi‑market quality operations
- Demonstrated success in building, managing and improving Quality Management Systems, and embedding a proactive quality culture across cross‑functional teams
- Solid background working closely with technical team e.g. Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Commercial and Supply Chain teams to support compliant and timely market releases
- Strong experience leading root cause investigations, managing post‑market activities, supplier quality oversight and mentoring quality professionals
- Experience across health supplements, food supplements, skincare, baby nutrition or pet nutrition is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of SEA/ASEAN regulatory requirements for Health Supplements, OTC products and Traditional Medicines; Cosmetics experience is an advantage
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at senior and regional levels
