The Quality Engineer is an integral part of the NewPower Worldwide team and is responsible for supporting all quality inspections and all related processes to ensure the highest level of service and quality to our customers. You will be depended on to safeguard against poor quality, ensure parts meet manufacture standards for form fit function, and ensure the quality assurance process is well documented and strictly adhered to. The Quality Engineer’s specific responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
· Accountable for all technical aspects of CPU and memory inspections/testing based on customer requirements.
· Responsible for electronic component inspections and identification of parts that do not meet quality standards, including non-confirming and/or counterfeit parts.
· Help create, review, maintain, and document all quality standard operating procedures within multiple quality inspection teams worldwide.
· Prepare and review quality data for customer quarterly business reviews and participate as needed as the quality subject matter expert in a customer-facing role.
· Provide technical support in a customer-facing role for quality-related issues and lead corrective action processes.
· Generate, analyze, and review root cause data with quality issues to provide documented corrective actions.
· Support the company’s efforts in all customers and organizational and regulatory compliance, including participating in quality audits.
· Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement
· Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / related fields and or 3-5 years experience in quality engineering
· Solid working knowledge of QC principles and standards
· Experience with ESD compliance is a plus.
· Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
· Willingness to pitch in and get any job done as needed.
· Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry
· Analytical and quantitative approach to problem-solving
