Role Description
We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to support the quality and reliability of WinRed’s web-based donation platform and related products. This is a highly manual testing role focused on validating user experiences, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient senior QA professional with strong communication skills, experience testing web applications, and the ability to work effectively with distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time hourly contract role (40 hours/week) with a preference for candidates located in Brazil or Costa Rica, though qualified candidates from all over LATAM will be considered. Candidates must have at least 4 hours of overlap with Eastern Time and be comfortable working with a politically conservative organization and user base.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive manual testing of web-based applications and donation workflows.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and regression testing activities.
- Identify, document, reproduce, and track software defects through resolution.
- Collaborate directly with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure quality releases.
- Validate functionality across browsers and platforms, including BrowserStack-supported mobile testing when required.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support user acceptance testing and release validation efforts.
- Communicate testing results, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to QA process improvements and test strategy discussions.
- Assist with automation-related initiatives when appropriate, while maintaining a manual testing-first mindset.
Requirements
- Senior-level QA experience with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
- Experience testing web-based applications and user-facing workflows.
- Ability to independently manage testing efforts with minimal supervision.
- Strong defect investigation, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and regression test suites.
- Familiarity with cross-browser testing methodologies.
- Experience using BrowserStack or similar tools is preferred.
- Exposure to test automation concepts and tools is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with at least 4 hours of Eastern Time overlap (7-8 preferred).
- Comfortable working with a politically conservative organization and stakeholder group.
