About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile QA to lead the quality assurance function for our enterprise-grade iOS and Android mobile applications used by thousands of customers worldwide.
In this role, you will drive the overall QA strategy, lead a high-performing QA team, and ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality mobile applications. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Business teams while championing automation and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Mobile QA Engineers.
- Define and execute the overall mobile testing strategy covering manual, automation, regression, performance, usability, compatibility, and security testing.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile automation frameworks using Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Review business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor QA activities to ensure timely sprint and release delivery.
- Drive automation initiatives and continuously improve automation coverage across mobile applications.
- Perform API and backend integration testing using tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
- Validate application compatibility across multiple devices, operating systems, screen sizes, and cloud testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
- Lead defect triage sessions, perform root cause analysis, and manage defect lifecycle using JIRA.
- Define QA metrics, dashboards, and release quality reports for stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify quality risks early and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading Mobile QA teams.
- Proven experience testing native Android and iOS mobile applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Appium.
- Experience with Espresso and/or XCUITest.
- Experience building and maintaining mobile automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar defect management tools.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud device testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
