Our Rapid Composites Prototype Center department on Seahawk Circle in Virginia Beach, VA is searching for a Quality Inspector II to work in-person at 421 South Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.

General Description:
Performs quality control inspections, checks and tests during the repair and manufacturing of products.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform incoming visual and dimensional material inspections
Interpret documentation such as drawings, military specifications and standards.
Perform packing and shipping inspections
Perform in process and final inspections
Assist with monthly QA checks to ensure integrity of ESD program and test equipment
Record data and observations and make recommendations for improving the process
Notify production and quality management of significant problems
Assist with inspections on chemicals ensuring an MSDS is maintained on file.
Maintain appropriate documentation and logs of work completed, status, results, etc. to comply with GTS and ISO 9001 procedures and to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection activities in a neat and organized manner.
Assist with generating and verifying UID labels.
Assist with MIL SPEC packaging and general packaging supplies.
Work Experience Requirements:
5-7 years of inspection experience
Working Conditions:
This position operates in a professional production repair or manufacturing environment and typically works 40 hours weekly. May be exposed to hazards from equipment or hazardous materials (chemical). While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and to reach with hands and arms. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment and light lifting less than 30 lbs. While performing duties of this job the employee may be exposed to a warehouse environment and should exercise suitable safety precautions. Knowledge of a variety of measuring tools
Knowledge of basic technical specifications and terminology.
Ability to read drawings and inspect to a drawing.
Must have regular, reliable attendance
