Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a consulting and custom software development firm focused on regulated sectors. Typically, their clients seek high-end software development services, with the firm providing top-tier warranties. Consequently, the client has established a solid reputation in the industry for creating solutions that meet specifications with very few software defects. They are recognized as the leading software developer in Australia.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions through comprehensive testing, validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to validate system functionality, identify defects, and ensure all features meet business and technical requirements before release.
Note: working hours 7 am–3 pm UA time
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
- Strong understanding of testing manual web applications.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering.
- Experience in leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve test coverage, efficiency, and documentation quality.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Expertise in interpreting business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience writing detailed test cases and executing structured test plans.
- In-depth understanding of defect management and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr).
- Excellent communication and ability to manage client collaboration and directions
- High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
- A quality-focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
- Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented individual.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and reliable software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute manual functional, integration, regression, usability, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, Story Kick-Offs and Checkpoints to highlight any quality issues
- Ensure testing coverage includes:
- Edge cases and boundary conditions
- User permissions and roles
- Error handling and validations
- Data integrity and integration points
- Maintain test documentation, test evidence, and quality reports.
- Support UAT activities and production verification testing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation opportunities.
- Incorporate the use of approved AI tools to accelerate and expand test coverage.
