We are looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer – Soil & Concrete to join our Project Quality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all earthworks, concrete works, and material testing activities comply with project specifications, approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), applicable codes and standards, and the company's quality management requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Hold Points, Witness Points, and acceptance criteria.
- Review geotechnical investigation reports and supervise excavation, shoring, backfilling, and compaction works.
- Verify site readiness and approve concrete pour requests before casting operations.
- Monitor concrete production, delivery, placement, vibration, curing, and protection activities.
- Supervise fresh concrete testing, including slump, temperature, and sampling, and review hardened concrete test results.
- investigate non-conforming test results and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Inspect structural concrete after formwork removal and oversee defect assessment and repair activities.
- Coordinate with accredited laboratories, ready-mix concrete suppliers, consultants, and contractors to ensure quality compliance.
- Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, quality records, and technical documentation using the company's Quality Management System.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying quality risks and recommending preventive actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in construction projects involving soil works, concrete works, QA/QC, and materials testing.
- At least 4 years of dedicated experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia within real estate development or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete technology, geotechnical engineering, inspection procedures, and quality management systems.
- Experience working with accredited laboratories, concrete suppliers, and earthworks contractors.
- Proficiency in digital quality management systems (e.g., Odoo or similar).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications or training in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
- Specialized certifications in soil testing, concrete testing, construction materials, or QA/QC.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical reporting skills.
