About the Role
The role is to drive product quality throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and test planning to execution, defect management, release validation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Testing Execution
- Own testing activities for assigned features or projects, from requirement analysis to release and post-release validation.
- Design test strategies, test scope, test cases, and risk-based testing approaches.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, exploratory, end-to-end, API, and database testing for web and mobile applications.
- Identify quality risks, edge cases, potential production issues, and release readiness concerns.
2. Defect Management & Quality Control
- Report, track, and follow up defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Analyze logs, API responses, database records, and technical information to support defect investigation.
- Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts to clarify issues and validate fixes.
- Communicate test results, quality risks, and release status clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Automation & Process Improvement
- Contribute to test automation using Playwright, TypeScript, API automation, or similar tools/frameworks.
- Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Improve testing standards, documentation, test coverage, and team testing practices.
Key Requirements
Work Experience
- 4–6 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer, with experience owning testing activities for medium to complex products.
- Strong experience testing web and mobile applications.
- Experience in e-commerce, warehouse management, inventory, order management, shipping/delivery, payment, invoices, or business documents is a strong plus.
- Strong API testing experience using Postman; good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, and request/response validation.
- Good SQL knowledge for data validation, defect investigation, and database consistency checks.
- Experience or willingness to learn test automation with Playwright, TypeScript, API automation, or automated integration testing is preferred.
