Job Overview:
As a Senior Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and robust software applications. You will be responsible for leading quality initiatives across manual testing, test automation, and performance/load testing efforts. This position demands a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can balance speed with precision in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Strategy
Define and document detailed test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
Review and analyze system specifications, user stories, and use cases.
Contribute to test estimation, resource planning, and test schedule forecasting.
Advocate for quality across the product lifecycle from design to release.
Manual Testing
Perform UI/UX, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
Conduct end-to-end testing scenarios including mobile and web applications.
Validate data integrity and accuracy through backend (DB) testing using SQL.
Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
 Automation Testing
Build and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems.
Develop reusable automated test cases/scripts using tools like:
Selenium, Cypress, Playwright for UI
Rest Assured, Postman, Karate for API
Integrate automation tests with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions.
Create and manage test data for automation scenarios.
Perform code reviews for test scripts and mentor junior QA team members.
Performance/Load Testing
Design load and stress test scenarios to simulate production environments.
Use performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or k6.
Monitor key performance indicators such as response time, throughput, error rate.
Analyze bottlenecks, memory leaks, thread deadlocks, and suggest optimizations.
Collaborate with DevOps and backend engineers for tuning system performance.
Tool & Environment Management
Setup, configure, and manage test environments including staging and pre-prod.
Use containerization tools like Docker for test environment provisioning.
Manage test repositories in tools like Git, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
Reporting & Communication
Provide detailed test execution reports, coverage analysis, and defect metrics.
Drive defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution.
Present QA findings and risk assessments to stakeholders.
Work cross-functionally with developers, product owners, and business analysts.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in software testing.
Strong scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript).
Solid experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Hands-on experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.Jira
