Senior QA Analyst

Europ Assistance Canada, part of Generali Group, is looking for a Senior QA Analyst to join our Travel Insurance and Assistance team in Canada.

We are searching for an experienced candidate to join our team and contribute to the building of the local operations in Canada. Europ Assistance is a global company actively doing business in over 200 countries in the delivery of their products and services.

The Canadian business unit will strategically focus its efforts on the Travel Insurance industry with the distribution of product offerings and associated service solutions to key stakeholders for their customers traveling abroad or with in Canada.

Reporting to the COO, we are seeking an experienced Senior QA Analyst with a strong background in quality assurance & production support and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will support internal stakeholders, drive quality strategies, and ensure adherence to best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

The position is based in Toronto and the working environment is a mix of in-office and remote, though always in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

Support internal/external stakeholders during test campaigns for client onboardings rollouts, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

Perform manual and/or automated test cases, including API calls, using tools like Postman. Analyze JSON request/response formats to identify and validate key fields across system interfaces.

Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, plans, and practices to improve product quality.

Support the development of automated testing scripts and ensure alignment with test plans and system configurations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, and operations) to ensure quality requirements are met.

Analyze and report on testing results, providing insights to stakeholders for performance improvement.

Provide production support to identify defects post-deployment and support or perform root-cause analysis (RCA)

Document and communicate bugs and errors in detail to development teams.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with software quality, including bugs and performance issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating lessons learned into future projects.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, tools, and best practices in QA.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in QA roles with hands-on testing and debugging experience on travel insurance or clients onboarding is a plus.

Strong experience with manual or automated testing methodologies and tools.

Proficiency with JavaScript, Postman, and Jira is required.

Proficiency with Python is highly desired.

Understanding of APIs and varying request/response data formats.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience with performance testing and security testing is a plus.

Ability to transform test results into clear, concise reports or visualizations that can be easily understood by non-technical teams.
