Description

Responsibilities

Designing, setting up and maintaining automated testing with a focus on backend processes
Testing of APIs, integrations and event-driven flows
Validating asynchronous communication between systems
Elaboration of BDD scenarios (Gherkin) and implementation via automation frameworks
Integration of testing into the CI/CD pipeline
Analyzing and debugging complex errors in distributed systems
Working closely with developers, analysts and architects
Contribute actively to testing strategy and quality improvement

Must-have skills

Minus 8 years of experience
Strong experience with backend testing
Demonstrable experience with queuing systems/messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS or similar)
Thorough knowledge of asynchronous architectures
Java as the primary language for test automation
Experience with automation frameworks (e.g. JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber…)
Practical experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab…)
Experience with BDD/Gherkin
Experience within a Java context
