Job Description​
We are seeking an experienced ​Senior QA Engineer to lead end-to-end testing for core banking systems. You will be responsible for defining test strategies, managing defects, and ensuring high-quality delivery across SIT, UAT, and production environments.
Responsibilities:
Support the SIT testing and complete the POT for the production defects before endorse to the UAT
Perform the regression testing for each release window
Analyze the production defects category and the RCA
Develop test plan and strategize testing activities, including test plan creation, test data preparation, monitoring the quality of test case creation by the team members, and ensure test environment is setup
Identify defects, and troubleshoot issues for initial checking
Follow up defects closely with developers
Chair defect triage meeting with internal team and or customer
Mentor and guide team members, assigning tasks and monitoring progress
Prepare comprehensive test reports, communicating test status and findings to stakeholders
Continuously improve testing processes, proposing best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and quality
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate project updates to stakeholders
Manage the testing-related affairs in the team and manage the outsourced testing team
Support customers in UAT either on messenger or email
Resolve the risks on the testing
Requirements:
Strong experience in software testing, including test planning and execution
Able to communicate in English effectively through speaking, writing and listening comprehension. (Able to read and communicate in Chinese is highly desirable)
With over 5 years of testing experience in end-to-end digital core banking projects, familiar with core businesses like ekyc, mobile app, origination, deposits, loans, credit cards, payments in banks
With over 3 years of managerial experience in testing projects, able to develop testing strategies, testing phases and testing plans according to project plans, business scope, etc
Familiar with common practice and end-to-end processes of core businesses in banks, as well as main testing points for these processes
Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools
Report timely on the results regarding the problem arising in the test process, and make adjustments to the testing plans accordingly
Experience in playing the role as a sole contact to support UAT testing (Customer).
With sound knowledge in basic theory of testing
Project experience in the migration of the overall core banking system is a plus.
Familiar with commonly used tools for automation testing, with a deep understanding of and detailed planning for automation testing is a plus
