MCG Talent is partnering with a leading international retail organization to appoint a Quality Partner specializing in Electrical Products. Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality assurance support across electrical product categories, ensuring products meet all safety, legal, and quality requirements.
- Evaluate products throughout the development lifecycle and provide technical guidance to commercial and product teams.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications and product briefs to support sourcing and buying decisions.
- Conduct benchmarking, market reviews, and competitive analysis to continuously raise quality standards.
- Define product testing requirements to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and due diligence standards.
- Assess supplier technical and ethical compliance prior to product approval and launch.
- Monitor customer feedback, returns, and complaints, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure suppliers and products align with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify emerging technologies, materials, and market developments to support category innovation.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, testing laboratories, and manufacturing partners.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience within electrical consumer products, ideally gained in an international sourcing office, retailer, or testing laboratory.
- Hands-on experience with categories such as small domestic appliances, audio and video accessories, power leads, charging cables, luminaires, and batteries.
- Strong understanding of international product safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Experience reviewing, approving, and releasing products for retail markets; Australian market knowledge would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and supplier engagement skills.
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Willingness to travel for supplier and factory visits as required.
