Senior QA Engineer
Contract | Up to £425/day | Inside IR35 | Remote | Active SC Required
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to support a government department on a high-profile programme, focusing on testing across complex integrations, data migration, and performance.
This is an initial 3-month contract with an immediate start, working within a modern, agile delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement test strategies across multiple systems
- Deliver contract testing using Pact
- Build and maintain integration tests (Kotlin)
- Develop UI component and end-to-end tests using Playwright or Cypress (TypeScript)
- Lead on performance testing across UI and APIs (ideally using Gatling)
- Support testing of data migration activities
- Validate cross-system integrations and state changes between legacy and modern platforms
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in contract testing (Pact)
- Experience with integration testing in Kotlin
- Proven experience with Playwright or Cypress (TypeScript) for UI and E2E testing
- Experience in performance testing (Gatling desirable)
- Strong understanding of complex system integrations and data flows
- Experience testing data migration scenarios
- Ability to define and contribute to test strategy

- Rate: Up to £510 per day (Inside IR35)
