About The Role

Location: Amman – Jordan

Number of Vacancies: 4

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Officer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of software products through thorough testing and validation. This role involves designing and executing both manual and automated test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including development, product management, and operations—to deliver high-quality solutions.

Additionally, the Senior QA Officer mentors junior team members, drives continuous process improvements, and actively contributes to the development and execution of the overall QA strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex quality assurance tests and inspections to validate software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases that cover all functional and non-functional aspects of the product.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through to resolution, ensuring timely fixes and verification.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate quality practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Review and approve quality-related documentation, including test reports, defect logs, and user manuals.
  • Provide technical expertise, mentorship, and guidance to junior QA team members to build their skills and improve overall team performance.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation by identifying potential quality risks early in the project lifecycle.
  • Help define and enforce QA best practices and standards within the team and organization.
  • Support audit and compliance activities by preparing documentation and demonstrating adherence to standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging QA tools to recommend innovations that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new QA team members to accelerate their integration and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present detailed test summary reports that communicate testing outcomes, defect status, and quality risks to project stakeholders.
  • Track and report progress of automation efforts, including coverage, execution rates, and defect detection efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, academic standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform any additional relevant tasks assigned by the direct manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a related field.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level or Advanced Level – Test Analyst/Test Manager is plus
  • Relevant certifications in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman) is plus
  • English
  • Arabic

Technical Competencies

  • Experience in Microsoft suite Office.
  • Experience in Collaboration

& Communication tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom

  • Skilled in performing both manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API platforms to ensure

comprehensive coverage.

  • Proficient in designing detailed test cases and executing them effectively to validate software

functionality and performance.

  • Experienced in using bug tracking tools like JIRA for logging, tracking, and managing defects throughout

the testing lifecycle.

  • Hands-on experience with testing tools including TestRail for test management, Selenium for automation, Postman for API testing, and JMeter for performance testing.
  • Able to write basic SQL queries for backend data validation and verification.
  • Familiar with Agile and Scrum methodologies, participating effectively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to align QA activities with iterative development.
