The Role: Senior QA Engineer
12-Month Contract | Up to €580/day
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead quality across cross-functional squads in a cloud-native, microservices environment. You’ll design automation frameworks, embed quality into CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with Engineering, SRE, and Product teams to drive scalable, reliable testing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, and front-end applications
- Embed shift-left testing practices including TDD/BDD, contract testing, and schema validation
- Execute performance, load, resiliency, and scalability testing
- Implement CI/CD quality gates and reusable test data pipelines
- Collaborate with Platform/SRE teams on security, compliance, and observability
- Use AI-assisted testing tools to improve efficiency and accelerate root-cause analysis
- Drive quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Experience:
- 6+ years in QA Automation within cloud-native/distributed systems
- Strong experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience testing event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and microservices
- Knowledge of performance/load testing tools
- Agile, DevOps, and shift-left testing experience
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing/coding tools
- Financial services or payments experience preferred
