About the Role

As a Senior QA Engineer within this FTSE 250 Financial Services company, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless digital customer journey within a dynamic, Agile environment. You will work across bespoke applications, technical documentation, quality assurance, and release management. Your expertise in manual and automated testing will help drive quality, innovation, and efficiency in a financial services setting.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Test Automation – Build and maintain API and UI automation frameworks using tools like Postman, RestAssured, Selenium, or Cypress.

Agile Collaboration – Work closely with developers, BAs, and product owners in a Scrum/Kanban environment.

CI/CD Integration – Implement automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Defect Management – Identify, report, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.

Third-Party System Validation – Verify integrations with external vendors, payment gateways, and financial service providers.

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of QA experience in Financial Services – ideally within banking, insurance, payments, or investment platforms.

Strong experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured).

Proficiency in RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, and authentication mechanisms.

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).

Experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and using BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).

Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong knowledge of financial compliance, security standards, and risk-based testing.

If you’re a Senior QA Engineer looking for a new challenge where your skills in API integration testing and automation can truly make an impact, we’d love to hear from you!
