Title: Senior/ Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual- Linux)

Responsibilities
- Work within Agile Scrum teams to design, execute, and validate manual test cases for instrument control software, service software, and module-based applications for DNA sequencing and genotyping devices.
- Develop, review, and execute manual test cases covering functional, integration, regression, system, user acceptance (UAT), and performance validation.
- Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
- Perform thorough manual testing of software applications and identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Investigate, reproduce, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
- Set up and maintain test environments and test data for effective validation.
- Report, track, and manage defects using issue management tools, ensuring clear communication of risks and impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and release readiness.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback to improve testability and product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with strong expertise in manual testing.
- Hands-on experience in designing and executing manual test cases for web, desktop, or enterprise applications.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Experience testing Windows and/or Linux-based GUI applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance (UAT), and exploratory testing.
- Experience in complex system testing, such as medical devices, instrumentation software, or other regulated industries, is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and quality assurance best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in Agile Scrum teams.
