Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
Department: Quality
The Specialist within Quality Assurance may perform several functions within the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring and testing processes/systems, administrating and managing various quality systems such as ISO, Claims, MDR, DMS, and interfacing with functional departments to achieve business and customer needs.
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Essential Functions
· Perform requested and scheduled testing for qualification of new equipment, processes, optical discs, assembly components, and/or finished product.
· Perform title quality checks for incoming media from customers
· Perform quality system administrative tasks – electronic and/or manual. These include, but are not limited to, Document Management (DMS), Claims, Material Deficiency Reports (MDR), Quality Process Audits (QPA), Incoming Inspection/Free-to-Stock (FTS), and ISO.
· Perform scheduled and requested audits of processes and procedures, which includes conformance to ISO standards, effectiveness of process and procedures, etc.
· Participate/facilitate problem solving, process improvement, and quality teams.
· Understand and apply DADC requirements for quality, environmental management, health and safety management, and Kaizen.

§ Ability to interpret and analyze data and generate reports using statistical process tools.
§ Successfully generate customer reports in response to claims which are well-written and concise.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
· Two-Year Associate degree or equivalent experience
· Detailed understanding and involvement in ISO9001 requirements, audits and documentation
· ISO9001 certified lead auditor or internal auditor preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Effective decision-making skills
· Experience and familiarity with personal computers and MS Office software, i.e., Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This environment is subject to both normal office conditions and industrial conditions. The industrial environment may require eye protection, hearing protection, and clean room clothing.
