Purpose:
Manage and lead the Sector quality team in the execution of a complex projects for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning scopes (as applicable)
Ensure QA and QC compliance within the Sector with legal requirements, client standards, ISO standards as well as processes and procedures
Ensure suitable governance and assurance of the Sector including management of the audit schedule
Proactive management of Quality related KPI’s for the Sector
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure QA and QC within the Sector and the projects being delivered are compliance with legal requirements, client standards, ISO standards as well as processes and procedures
Develop and implement Sector improvement plans
Support the development and review of project-specific quality plans / operating procedures to comply with project requirements
Provide Quality input to tenders and proposals
Manage QA/QC team to ensure adoption of pragmatic approach to assurance of Quality on all phases of the Project, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, taking cognisance of commercial, schedule and budget constraints
Management of internal and external Audits, both on and off site, in accordance with project audits and quarterly risk-based schedule reviews
Management of supply chain quality, inclusive of all pre-qualification assessments, supply chain audits, inspections, supply chain performance and lifetime quality record compilation
Monitoring of performance against Quality KPI’s
Essential Qualifications:
Degree/HND/HNC in Quality (preferably in a related engineering/management subject)
Chartered Member of the Chartered Quality Institue (CQI)
Desirable Qualifications:
Lead Auditor Qualification e.g. ISO9001
Essential Experience
Experience in the application of relevant quality management system standards (ISO 9001)
Experienced in investigation to determine root cause, learning, proposed improvements and verification of implementation of preventative measures to prevent recurrence of failure
Experienced in implementation of risk-based QA/QC arrangements, oversight and assurance within the supply chain
Effective Report Writing and Communication Skills
Proven background in a similar role managing QA/QC personnel within an EPC/EPCC environment
Desirable Experience
Knowledge and application of Pressure Equipment Directive/ Pressure Systems Safety Regulations; EN1090 (Construction Products), ISO 3834-2 (Fusion welding) and other Sector specific quality standard requirements
