About the Company

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function within a manufacturing environment serving the automotive industry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and industry standards while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, people management skills, and a solid understanding of automotive quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Quality team, ensuring the achievement of departmental objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and applicable customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Oversee product and process quality throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Support new product launches, engineering changes, and production start-up activities from a quality perspective.
  • Define, implement, and monitor quality control plans for in-process and finished products.
  • Coordinate internal process and product audits, as well as customer and certification audits.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions related to non-conforming products and quality issues.
  • Participate in regional and global quality reviews to ensure alignment with corporate quality standards and best practices.
  • Monitor quality performance indicators and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and automotive quality standards.
  • Exercise the authority to stop production or shipments whenever product quality or customer requirements are at risk.
  • Promote compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience leading quality teams within the automotive or metal-mechanical manufacturing industry.
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and production processes.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA).
  • Experience managing customer quality requirements, audits, and corrective action processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Availability to travel to customers, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting new product introduction and production launch activities.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
