We are seeking an experienced QCS Civil Lead – Precast to be based in Diego Garcia to oversee quality control for a high specification precast production program. The role requires strong expertise in precast manufacturing, concrete testing, and compliance with NPCA PQS Level I and ACI Grade 1 standards. The QCS Lead will manage plant QC processes, ensure full adherence to federal and ASTM requirements, and support production from casting through delivery.
Roles & Responsibility
- Lead and oversee all precast quality control activities from production to delivery, ensuring full compliance with NPCA and ACI standards.
- Review and approve ITPs, method statements, mix designs, and precast production procedures.
- Conduct inspections for concrete batching, casting, curing, demolding, finishing, storage, and transportation of precast elements.
- Verify material certifications, testing reports, and ensure adherence to ASTM and project specifications.
- Manage plant QC documentation, including MARs, NCRs, test reports, and daily QC logs.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all QC personnel maintain required certifications (NPCA PQS Level I, ACI Grade 1 or equivalent).
- Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and federal project requirements.
- Support audits, third?party inspections, and client quality reviews.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- NPCA Production & Quality School (PQS Level I) – mandatory.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 or approved industry equivalent.
- Minimum 8–10 years experience in precast, concrete QC, or structural QA/QC roles.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM standards, concrete testing procedures, and precast production processes.
- Proven experience managing QC documentation (MARs, ITPs, NCRs, test reports).
- Ability to lead QC teams and coordinate with production, engineering, and client representatives.
- Experience in federal, high?specification, or controlled?access projects is an advantage.
- Strong communication, reporting, and problem solving skills.
