Position Overview
The QA/QC Engineer will support project by ensuring all engineering deliverables, procurement activities, and construction-related documentation comply with project specifications, international standards, and KBR’s quality management system. The role requires strong coordination with engineering teams, vendors, and project management to maintain consistent quality across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
Implement and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP) in alignment with the standards.
Review and approve quality procedures, ITPs, method statements, and vendor quality documentation.
Conduct internal quality audits and participate in external audits with clients and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project-specific QA requirements.
Quality Control
Monitor engineering deliverables for adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Review material certificates, inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective action plans.
Coordinate with vendors for FAT, SAT, and inspection activities as required.
Track and close out punch-list items and quality-related actions.
Project Coordination
Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve quality issues.
Support the QA/QC Manager in preparing quality reports, KPIs, and project dashboards.
Participate in technical meetings, vendor evaluations, and quality review sessions.
Ensure proper documentation control and traceability of all quality records.
Qualifications & Experience
Must speak a good level of Korean and English to coordinate with local vendors, engineering teams, and international stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).
Minimum 20 years of QA/QC experience in EPC, oil & gas, water treatment, or large industrial projects.
Experience with the key players in O&G, or similar major EPC contractors is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of international standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO).
Experience with seawater systems, pipelines, or water treatment facilities is an advantage.
Familiarity with QA/QC tools: NCR management, ITPs, audit processes, and vendor inspections.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural project environment.
