Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements, including Use Cases and non-functional requirements.
Develop and execute system and user acceptance test plans in alignment with HSC Test Methodology.
Design and create test data to support test execution.
Perform SQL and JCL queries to examine test databases.
Log test results, document system variances, and track resolutions using an automated problem management system (e.g., Clear Quest).
Provide recommendations to the Project Manager regarding system component acceptance/rejection.
Produce weekly status reports and escalate key issues/concerns as needed.
Assist in knowledge transfer to OPS staff.
Support other related initiatives within the Payment & Registration I&IT Solutions Branch (PRSB) as required.
Required Skills & Experience
Public Sector Experience (5%)
Experience working within government/public sector environments.
Familiarity with public sector enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
Testing Expertise (35%)
Recent (within the last year) experience in systems testing.
Strong knowledge of system testing methodologies and best practices.
Ability to analyze business requirements and design effective test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience in executing system and user acceptance tests.
Proficiency in tracking test results and system defects using automated tools (e.g., Clear Quest).
Technical Experience (25%)
Significant experience in an MVS/COBOL/DB2 environment.
Proficiency with SQL and JCL for database testing and validation.
Strong understanding of relational databases and data structures.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills (20%)
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
Experience analyzing complex business requirements and test data needs.
Communication & Collaboration Skills (15%)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively engage stakeholders including business clients, developers, and DBAs.
Strong team player with a track record of meeting project deadlines.
