Title: Senior Quality Assurance Tester

This is a full-time offshore position (rotational schedule typical for offshore roles – details to be confirmed during interview). Reporting to the Manager, Application Development, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of business applications while complying with strict IT governance and cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Validate APIs and backend logic (basic understanding of Java-based applications preferred).
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation activities.
- Prepare detailed test reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript and/or Python.
- Execute SQL queries and validate database integrity.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis in coordination with technical teams.
- Support minor development activities using approved frameworks under IT management guidance.
- Maintain IT Operations Support guidelines and documentation.
- Support rollout, testing, and validation of system changes and upgrades.
- Provide ongoing production support and ensure system stability.
- Recommend and coordinate user training as required.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Adhere to Cybersecurity policies and procedures, handle data according to classification levels, comply with acceptable use policies, and report incidents as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned in line with company regulations and Saudi Labor Law.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (SDLC, STLC, Agile practices).
- Experience with functional and automation testing concepts.
- Basic understanding of Java-based applications and APIs.
- Solid database concepts and proficiency in SQL querying.
- Preferred: Familiarity with business processes in catering/food service operations.
- Knowledge of IT governance and cybersecurity compliance principles.
- Skills in test case design and execution, automation scripting (JavaScript / Python), defect tracking and reporting, database validation, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, time management, and effective communication with technical and business stakeholders.
- Abilities to analyze complex business requirements, work independently and in cross-functional teams, manage multiple testing cycles under tight deadlines, recommend process improvements, and adapt to changing project priorities.
