Quality Control Inspector – Machine Shop
Pompano Precision Products, Inc is a busy ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certified precision machine shop, in business for over 50 years. Due to the retirement of one of our lead inspectors, we are looking for a qualified Senior Quality Control Inspector. Applicant must have worked in a machine shop/job shop environment and be familiar with inspection of machined parts.
Applicant should ideally be proficient in all the following:
B/P reading – GDT.
Discern tolerances of +/- .0001”
Optical Comparator
Test Indicator
Surface Plate
Drop Indicator
.0001 Micrometer
Surface Profilometer
Bore Gages
Thread Gaging (Internal/External)
Rockwell Hardness tester
Vision and Coordinate measuring machine (VMM/CMM)
Microscope
AQL’s
Device Calibration
Duties will include:
– First Article inspection of machined parts
– In-process inspection of parts during production to maintain quality throughout the run
– Final Inspection of machined parts
Requirements:
– Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation and GD&T is a must.
– Ability to work with minimal supervision.
– Coordinate daily work flow with Quality Assurance Manager.
– Proficient at using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments, gages and inspection techniques.
– CMM and Calibration experience a plus.
– Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years mechanical inspection experience.
