My client a specialised Lightweight Structures and Facades Engineering company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Control Manager to lead their Quality Control Department.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance and control processes within the construction and engineering industry, specifically focused on lightweight structures and facades.
About the role:
This role requires a strong understanding of CWCT (Centre for Window and Cladding Technology) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards, which are essential for ensuring compliance and excellence in facade design, manufacturing, and installation.
As the Department Head, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest quality standards across all phases of our projects, ensuring alignment with both client requirements and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
1.Quality Management & Leadership:
Lead and mentor the quality control team to meet project goals.
Develop and implement a QMS aligned with ISO 9001, CWCT, and ASTM standards.
Set quality objectives and KPIs in line with project requirements.
Integrate quality practices across all project phases.
2.Quality Assurance and Control:
Establish and oversee quality assurance protocols for facades and lightweight structures.
Pre-qualify suppliers and subcontractors for compliance with industry standards.
Implement and manage ITPs for all project stages.
Collaborate with teams to resolve quality-related issues.
3.Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain records of quality control activities and corrective actions.
Prepare and submit compliance reports (e.g., CWCT test results, ASTM documentation).
Generate quality reports with insights for stakeholders.
4.Continuous Improvement:
Conduct root-cause analyses and drive process improvements.
Organize training on CWCT, ASTM standards, and quality best practices.
Reduce non-conformities and enhance facade system performance.
5.Tasks:
Develop and implement project-specific ITPs and QMS.
Perform quality inspections and verify compliance with performance criteria.
Oversee corrective actions and ensure issue resolution.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years in quality control/assurance, preferably in facades and lightweight structures.
Strong knowledge of CWCT (air permeability, water tightness, structural performance) and ASTM standards (material testing, thermal performance, impact resistance).
Proven expertise in supplying materials/services for lightweight structures or facades.
Submission of company profile, technical capabilities, and financial stability records.
