Senior Quality Engineer Jobs in Luxembourg, Luxembourg at GTS Group Ltd

Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Company: GTS Group Ltd

Location: Luxembourg, Luxembourg

GTS Space is working with an innovative space technology company developing next-generation satellite systems, and we’re looking for a Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring world-class manufacturing standards across complex aerospace products.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation where quality is embedded throughout the engineering and manufacturing lifecycle. You’ll act as an independent quality authority, working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll be responsible for defining how quality is assured throughout satellite manufacturing. You’ll translate engineering and programme requirements into robust inspection plans, control plans and verification methods, ensuring product conformity from manufacture through to final release.

You’ll challenge engineering and manufacturing teams where necessary, identify quality risks before they become issues, and drive continuous improvement across production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop inspection plans, control plans and test requirements for manufacturing processes.
  • Define acceptance criteria and verification methods for manufacturing, assembly and testing activities.
  • Establish and maintain in-process inspection strategies and sampling plans.
  • Support and conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), process audits and compliance reviews.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformances using structured root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to improve process capability and product quality.
  • Support production release activities by ensuring all quality requirements have been satisfied.
  • Maintain quality documentation within QMS, MES and ERP systems, ensuring full traceability.
  • Monitor quality performance and drive preventative improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ECSS, ISO 9001 and internal quality standards.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in quality engineering within aerospace or another high-reliability manufacturing environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent technical background).
  • Around 3-7 years’ experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Experience creating inspection plans, control plans and quality verification strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with First Article Inspection (FAI), process audits and non-conformance management.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools including FMEA, SPC, MSA and 8D.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T.
  • Experience working with QMS, MES and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom practices, ESD controls and contamination management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge engineering and manufacturing teams where required.

What’s on Offer

  • Work on cutting-edge satellite manufacturing programmes.
  • Join a fast-growing organisation delivering highly reliable space hardware.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing and programme teams.
  • Play a key role in shaping manufacturing quality processes from development through production.
  • Hybrid working with approximately 60% onsite presence.

Please note: Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be eligible to obtain ESA, EU, NATO or National SECRET security clearance.
