Our automotive manufacturing client in Vaughan, ON is currently seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to ensuring product quality meets and exceeds customer expectations, from initial design through production. You will be involved in quality planning, control, and improvement activities across the organization, supporting both internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, review, and gain approval for Control Plans, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and work instructions.

Perform layered audits, coordinate DMN activities, and support customer-specific reporting and warranty reviews.

Actively participate in drawing and program review meetings to assess feasibility and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Support ongoing Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and Engineering Change Notification (ECN) processes, including documentation updates and visual aids.

Review and analyze CMM reports, MSA, and SPC studies for new programs and support customer PPAP submissions and annual validations.

Participate in the design, review, and approval of gauges; ensure compliance with GR&R and customer quality requirements.

Investigate and resolve internal and external quality issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Manage supplier PPAP submissions and ensure all purchased/manufactured products meet engineering and customer requirements.

Prepare and maintain plant Visual Standards and assist in developing Poke Yokes and operator training for new programs.

Promote and adhere to company safety standards, Kaizen principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

University degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Supervisory skills an asset

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and knowledge of ISO14001/IATF16949 standards are considered assets.
