We are seeking a highly skilled contract Senior Quality Engineer to join our client on a 6 month rolling contract. They are a Sydney-based business that requires the candidate to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute automated API tests.
Collaborate with developers and other members of the QA team to understand product requirements and create test plans.
Identify, document, and track defects and work with development teams to resolve them.
Continuously improve and maintain our automated testing framework.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Provide regular status updates on testing progress.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in QA automation testing, with a focus on API Automation.
Strong experience with Java.
Proficient with CI/CD.
Experience working with cloud based technologies.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
The day rate on offer for this contract role is $750 – $825 PD + GST depending on experience.
