Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Quality Engineer role based in La Porte, IN. The Senior Quality Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes for client engagements. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing process performance, defining quality standards, and implementing quality tools and methodologies aligned with lean principles. The role involves conducting root-cause analyses, developing corrective and preventive actions, and collaborating with client leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure product and process quality. The Senior Quality Engineer will also mentor team members, prepare clear documentation and reports, and support training and coaching activities for clients to strengthen their internal quality capabilities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Engineering, including application of quality tools, problem-solving methods, and data-driven decision-making.
- Hands-on experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, including inspections, testing, audits, and compliance with established standards.
- Proven ability to manage Product Quality throughout the lifecycle, from requirements and design through production and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Management, including development, implementation, and improvement of quality management systems and procedures.
- Working knowledge of lean methodologies and systems such as the Toyota Production System or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and build trust-based relationships with clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site in La Porte, IN, and occasionally travel to client locations as needed.
