Jasper County Solar Farm (80 MW) – Located near Kniman, Indiana
Pay: $60.00/PH (1.5 OT after 40)
Per Diem : $133.33
4 Week on – 1 week off rotation
Expense up to $800 per month gas expense for personal vehicle
Expense up to $800 per month for flights & up to $2000 per month for car rental
8 hours paid travel to and from site
Qualifications:
3 – 5 years of QA electrical inspection experience in utility-grade renewable energy – ideally Solar.
Proven experience of substation installation inspections – pads, ground grids, conduits, etc.
Experience testing and commissioning arrays – megging, transformer testing, cable sheath testing.
Proven experience with high and medium voltage – terminating, etc
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, and a strong understanding of utility-grade solar infrastructure and regulatory codes.
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to quality standards, safety regulations, and documentation requirements.
Clear communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed inspections of an 80MW utility grade solar construction site to ensure all electrical systems, particularly high and medium voltage installations, comply with design specifications, engineering standards, and local regulations.
Verify the quality and workmanship of electrical and mechanical components, including foundations, mounting structures, wiring, and interconnections, with a focus on high and medium voltage equipment integral to solar farm infrastructure.
Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols for high and medium voltage systems, ensuring all construction activities meet established safety standards to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment.
Keep thorough records of all inspections, noting any deviations from plans, corrective actions taken, and project progress. Document high and medium voltage testing results and other QA data for accurate project tracking.
Work closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to address quality issues, resolve technical challenges, and ensure timely completion of project milestones related to electrical installations.
Oversee or conduct testing of high and medium voltage systems and materials, verifying that they meet performance criteria, engineering specifications, and safety standards.
Ensure all construction activities, particularly those involving high and medium voltage systems, comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and any other applicable standards.
