Senior Quality Inspector Jobs in East Hartford, CT at HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO
Role and Responsibilities :
Oversee quality of raw material suppliers and contract manufacturers
Act as liaison between suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams (R&D, Packaging, PM)
Ensure quality systems and standards are upheld across outsourced manufacturing
Provide technical guidance to suppliers and contract manufacturers
Identify and resolve quality issues; drive process improvements
Conduct on-site audits and quality system assessments
Support supplier development and continuous improvement efforts
Monitor and report on supplier KPIs and quality performance
Manage SCARs and lead CAPA investigations
Qualifications & Experience:
Strong project management; results-oriented
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Familiar with quality tools: DMAIC, SPC, CPK, CAPA, Pareto, etc.
BS/BA in related field or equivalent experience
3–5 years in a Quality role
Knowledge of GMP and ISO 9001 (strongly desired)
Certifications:
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Certified Quality Auditor (CQA),
Six Sigma Green or Black belt
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
