Quality Assurance Coordinator

Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the timely execution of quality assurance efforts, as well as facilitating and assisting with risk-based internal audit-related matters and projects. Explain concepts in layman’s terms to develop team members on the “why” behind quality output, reviews, and risk assessments. Assists the VP ERM and the AVP ERM and Risk Management resource center, as well as the organization in evaluating operational guidelines, controls, or procedures, and reports significant findings. Leverages technical support by providing oversight of the quality assurance process to team members by looking at information and using facts and experience to make suggestions, drawing from best practices or lessons learned.
Knowledge Requirements
Strong knowledge of accounting theory
Strong analytical, problem solving and financial analysis skills
Strong knowledge of math and accounting principles and ability to apply them
Good oral and written communication skills
Efficiency, accuracy, and detail-oriented focus
Experience in creating spreadsheets and financial reports
Ability to import and export data between various software applications and spreadsheets
Ability to learn and utilize specific programs (such as financial institution software, and corporate credit union software) and to understand reporting mechanisms from third parties
Ability to meet deadlines
Adheres to all federal, state, and credit union regulations and policies.
Education and Summary
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years internal audit experience
Certification or designation preferred, not required
