Senior Software Tester Jobs in Ashburn, VA at SAIC
We’re seeking a detail-oriented IT Specialist to assist with a focused project involving system backup validation, Azure virtual machine setup, and Microsoft Windows Server environment testing. This is a short-term, task-based contract ideal for someone with hands-on experience in system recovery and Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities:
Test bare metal backups to ensure successful restoration to Azure VMs
Verify functionality of restored systems, including Microsoft Windows Server, Auto-Enrollment (AE), and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)
Research and advise on Microsoft Windows Server RDP CALs (Client Access Licenses) within Azure environments
Ensure proper recovery of both bare metal and individual data files
Document findings and suggest improvements or optimizations
Qualifications:
Strong experience with Windows Server/Workstation backup and recovery
Familiarity with Azure VM setup, configuration, and restore processes
Knowledge of RDP licensing, especially within Azure-hosted Microsoft Windows Server
Ability to troubleshoot and communicate findings clearly
Reliable, organized, and capable of independent work
