Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, Component New Product Development Jobs in Irvine, CA at Edwards Lifesciences
Job Summary: Responsible for examining products and materials before and during the manufacturing process to ensure they meet the customer’s established standards. The inspector will conduct visual and measurement tests to identify defects and document inspection results. Responsibilities also include all shipping & receiving tasks.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintain inventory of inspection equipment and calibration schedule.
2. Inspect all incoming materials and buyouts per job specifications.
3. Inspect all in process jobs & final inspections.
4. Reports & documents all deviations on Non-conformance reports.
5. Manages all shipping & Receiving
6. Manages delivery driver, clean up & shipping & receiving personnel
7. Works with all suppliers and audits supplier performance
8. Supervises loading and unloading of trucks and ensures all parts or materials are placed in designated staging areas.
9. Designated forklift trainer and insures all personnel offloading trucks are trained and operating equipment safely.
10. Works with Clean up personnel to ensure all areas of the shop are being addressed.
11. Member of the Safety committee
12. Mechanical and has experience operating machinery is a big plus
Additional responsibilities:
1. Manages customer Inventory.
2. Attend shop & customer production meetings
3. Attend Safety & safety committee meetings.
4. Thorough understanding of shop SOP
5. In processing POC for new employees
Job Qualifications:
1. Strong communication and listening skills.
2. Strong understanding of computers & Faro arm beneficial
3. Exceptional blueprint reading skills
4. 3 yrs experience in QC/QA or Machinist experience
5. Forklift certified
6. Able to lift 50lbs
