Job Description
The tester must objectively measure the quality of the software developed and the compliance regarding the requirements (functional and non functional).
The main roles and responsibilities for this function is:
Design the test cases related to functional testing
Execute functional testing
Execute non functional testing
Interpret test results and identify non conformities based on those results
Prepare and store the test data
Report on test activities and test results
Follow up on defect corrections
Skills
Testing fundamentals knowledge (eq. to ISTQB Foundation)
Advanced knowledge of the test management tool
Good knowledge of BDD and Cucumber
Good communication skills
Activities
Understand the purpose of the application and the requirements available
Participate to the estimates during PID
Review and challenge the use cases and the acceptance criteria
Review and challenge the business rules
Validate the functional documentation (use cases, acceptance criteria, business rules, user stories,…)
Initiate the interaction with GATB at the beginning of the project (Organize and facilitate initiation meeting)
Participate to sprint planning and share “”tester point of view””
Estimate and communicate the testing effort during the sprint planning
Write the BDD test scenario
Write the system testing scenario
Organize and manage the test case library
Execute system testing
Identify and document bug for correction
Generate reports based on the testing activities (number of tests cases per story, number and criticity of bugs found),…
Validate the implementation of the BDD
Follow up on the knowledge transfer with GATB
Qualify the bugs identified by GATB
Participate to R&D activities
Suggest improvements during the life of the project
