Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Functional Test Engineer to contribute to the validation and quality assurance of complex software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in functional testing, test automation, Agile development environments, and modern software technologies. You will work closely with development teams to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain functional test scenarios and test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage test cases, defects, and reporting activities using industry-standard tools.
- Support software quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor application behavior and system performance using observability tools.
- Ensure compliance with testing standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB Certification.
- Excellent command of Dutch or French (C2 level).
- Basic knowledge of the other national language (A2 level).
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written (C1 level).
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Software Test Engineer.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with software testing tools and quality assurance processes.
