Job Description:
The Senior Test Lead will play a pivotal role in overseeing the testing efforts for complex technical integrations within the finance industry. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage multiple stakeholders, including vendors, technical directors, and tech leads, ensuring seamless execution of testing activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in test management, defect resolution, and the development of comprehensive testing strategies in intricate integration environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing Leadership: Lead and drive the execution of complex test scenarios involving multiple technical integrations and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders, including vendors, technical directors, and tech leads, to ensure smooth execution of testing activities.
Defect Management: Oversee defect triaging and management processes to ensure timely resolution and closure of defects.
Functional Expertise: Collaborate with Tech Leads and Business Architects to identify functional use cases, ensuring comprehensive test case coverage.
Testing Strategy: Contribute to the development of testing strategies encompassing various phases of testing in a complex integration environment involving multiple vendors.
Project Management: Ensure testing deliverables are completed within defined timelines; proactively identify and escalate risks or issues that may impact project schedules.
Status Reporting: Prepare and present weekly status reports to leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and areas requiring executive attention.
Tools and Technologies:
Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
Experience with Unix scripting.
Familiarity with various testing tools relevant to complex integration environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in managing testing for complex technical integrations involving multiple stakeholders.
Strong understanding of defect management processes and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the finance industry.
Certifications in software testing or quality assurance.
