Job Description
A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking a Staff Engineer/Scientist II to join its Houston office. Responsibilities
Consistently deliver high-quality and timely work products to project teams.
Develop emissions inventories for industrial facilities.
Analyze and interpret state and federal environmental regulations to support compliance efforts.
Perform technical calculations and data analysis to contribute to project deliverables.
Prepare technical reports in support of environmental permitting processes.
Assist with air dispersion modeling and other regulatory assessments.
Provide direct project support to colleagues at various career levels.
Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance procedures.
Exhibit company core values in interactions with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Meet billable hour and utilization goals.
Interact with client and regulatory representatives as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
2 to 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
Commitment to excellence, adaptability, and professional development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing proficiency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with environmental databases is a plus.
Basic understanding of chemistry and environmental regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment with enthusiasm and flexibility.
