Quality Control Specialist
The primary function of the Quality Control Specialist is to ensure that Seal Company produces, purchases and distributes the highest quality possible.
Responsibilities and Duties
The principal duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Specialist consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintain awareness of Seal Company’s commitment to supplying a high standard of quality parts, products and services to customers.
Check incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Check shipments before they go out to ensure distribution is accurately preparing orders.
Inspect production parts to ensure they meet specifications.
Ensure expedited orders requested by the customer get processed as soon as possible.
Assist Quality Management with root cause and corrective action investigations.
Log and identify shipping errors, production errors and customer complaints and any other breakdowns in communications or procedures.
Continually develop process improvements to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs.
Skills
Experience with basic inspection instruments i.e., calipers, mics, durometer, measuring tapes, etc. Experience in the gasket/seal industry, ISO/AS9100 or Six Sigma. and experience with AS9102 First Article inspections.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
Required – High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred – 1+ years’ experience in a Quality Position or manufacturing
