We’re working with a major, globally recognised medical device manufacturer to find an exceptional quality leader for their flagship manufacturing site in Japan.
This isn’t a maintenance role. It’s a rare, high-visibility mandate to rebuild a quality culture from the ground up, with direct exposure to the organisation’s Senior Leadership Team and full executive backing to get it right.
What you’ll own
- Full accountability for QA and QC across a major medical device manufacturing site
- QMS, audits & inspections, complaint handling, CAPA, design assurance and supplier quality
- A large, multi-team quality organisation — building capability and culture, not just process
- A direct line of sight to senior leadership and real influence over how the site’s quality story is written
What you’ll bring
- Proven plant-level QA/QC leadership within medical devices or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
- A track record of building quality culture and driving execution, not just overseeing it
- Strong QMS, CAPA, validation and regulatory audit experience (FDA exposure a strong plus)
- An engineering background (electromechanical a plus) within a large plant / large company setting
- Japanese ability strongly preferred — but genuine flexibility exists for outstanding candidates with English fluency
