Opening for a Site Manager to establish the production site in Bangkok.
This Israeli company has a global footprint and an excellent reputation for producing top-quality plastic compounds. This professional will establish this business, shape all processes in the facility, and stand up the manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and purchasing departments to ensure the site’s successful operation.
The Site Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the manufacturing facility in Thailand, ensuring the efficient production of raw materials for the plastics industry while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role includes overseeing production, supply chain operations, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Site Manager will report directly to the Global COO and maintain close communication with the company’s headquarters in Israel to ensure strategic alignment.
Full relocation from Israel to Thailand.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Oversee the entire production process of raw materials, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop the site’s operational teams, including production, maintenance, logistics, and quality control.
Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of workplace safety.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high product quality by enforcing rigorous quality control processes, addressing production issues promptly, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Budget & Cost Control: Oversee operational budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining production efficiency.
Supply Chain & Logistics: Manage raw material procurement together with the HQ , inventory control, and coordination with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure a smooth supply chain.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field – advantage
Proven experience managing manufacturing operations, preferably in production for the plastics industry.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading multicultural teams.
Deep understanding of production planning, process improvement, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
Experience working in an international business environment, ideally in Southeast Asia – advantage
Open to relocate to Thailand
