Duties and Responsibilities:
Solid Working Knowledge of AS9100.
Responsible for assuring that the Quality Manuals, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and all other Quality forms and documentation are maintained current and are being accurately implemented by applicable departments. Provide training as needed within the organization.
Ensure the QMS policies and procedures are maintained and developed in accordance with customer requirements and AS9100.
Hands-on working manager with In-process and final inspection of manufactured and assembly products.
Recommend process improvements to improve quality systems and respond to customers’ feedback on any quality concerns in a timely manner.
Conduct presentations/briefings to customers, officials and visitors in all aspects of respective quality operations.
Responsible for an effective system to manage non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement preventative and corrective actions for all CAR’s.
Ensure calibration control process is maintained
Conduct internal, external and/or customer audits
Supervise inspection operations, ensure quality, cost and on-time delivery in accordance with production schedule and customer commitments, such as First Article Inspection and functional testing.
Provide guidance to Engineering and Program Managers during design and specification requirements to best utilize quality processes and techniques
Interface with Program Managers, Engineering and Manufacturing/Operations to ensure customer requirements and specifications are flowed down to products and services.
Support manufacturing and quality project planning and scheduling to ensure seamless execution and delivery of products and services.
Schedule, conduct and participate in Management Reviews.
Represent department at technical, planning and proposal meetings
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Quality Manager or similar role in a CNC precision machine shop or inspection lab involving close tolerance inspection.
Minimum 4- years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Fundamental understanding of a quality system, documentation, and implementation to ISO Standards or AS 9100.
Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, standards, and specifications.
Knowledge of material, processing, NDT, casting, and finishing specifications.
Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other inspection tools to verify parts meet customer requirements.
Direct work experience with the preparation of inspection documents for presentation to Customer Source reviewers.
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Proficient in Windows environment, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
