Site Quality Manager – Utility Scale Solar & BESS

Position Summary
The Site Quality Manager will oversee all quality control and quality assurance activities for utility scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all work is completed in compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, client standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have strong field experience on renewable energy projects, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work closely with construction, commissioning, subcontractors, and client representatives to maintain the highest quality standards on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee site quality control activities for utility scale solar and BESS projects
- Conduct daily inspections of civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning work
- Verify work is performed in accordance with IFC drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Manage quality documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, punch lists, turnover packages, and testing records
- Coordinate inspections with subcontractors, field teams, and client representatives
- Track deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
- Support project turnover and commissioning activities
- Participate in site walks, QA/QC meetings, and project reporting
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety requirements
- Assist with implementation and continuous improvement of QA/QC processes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience on utility scale solar, BESS, or large industrial construction projects
- Strong understanding of renewable energy construction practices and quality standards
- Experience with electrical inspections, testing, and turnover documentation preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment
- OSHA certification preferred
