Software Development Engineer – Test Jobs in San Diego, CA at Apple
Responsibilities
-Create, develop and maintain incoming, in-process, and final inspection criteria needed to demonstrate compliance to factory requirements.
-Conduct electrical tests and inspections to ensure units function according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure.
-Collect and report on incoming, in-process, and final inspection results in support of Management Review Procedure.
-Report on and track any significant deviations from quality standards and established goals, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to appropriate management
-Participate in new product development and Production Readiness Reviews to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans can be implemented prior to beginning production.
-Ensure compliance with established ISO policies and procedures.
-Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
-Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts
-Provide guidance and training to employees on quality management principles and practices
-Apply knowledge of production methods and procedures, capabilities of machines and equipment and product technology.
-Notify management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
-Provide technical expertise and leadership to production operators
-Read and understand drawings, pick list, bills of material.
-Keep facilities, materials and work areas clean, organized and free of FOD
-Assist with mechanical assembly, inventory control and packing as needed
-Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
-Minimum 5 years experience electronics manufacturing in an ISO9001 facility
-Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-62 and/or IPC-J-STD-001
-Appropriate time management skills to meet production schedule and deadlines
-Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work with urgency in a fast-paced production environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
