Purpose of the Job:
To work with our internal development team, as well as our clients. The QA Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing the testing processes for new and existing projects/products.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Analyze, create and extend existing or new test cases to ensure the testability of existing and new requirements
- Integrate your QA activities into your team’s iteration and continuously monitoring requirements from the beginning to the end of an iteration
- Coach your team to continuously develop and improve QA measures
- Prepare reports related to software testing carried out.
- Become a product expert. Share knowledge with other team members to grow their product expertise and testing skills
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Ability to work independently and carry out deliveries to completion
- Work with the agile team to set their priorities and remove their roadblocks to make sure sufficient coverage is done for the release.
- Seek out areas of improvement and efficiency throughout the software development and maintenance process.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test suites using Playwright and/or Cypress.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2+ Years of related professional experience.
- Experience in API testing.
- Strong knowledge of Risk-based testing approaches
- Hands-on experience in functional, non-functional, and change-based testing
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/kanban/XP development process
- Solid experience with identifying any ambiguity at the early phase of development.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools as Cypress and playwright is an Asset
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – to ensure the ability to write test plans, test cases, defect reports, and documentation, and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
- Naturally curious and have a burning desire to learn
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- A skeptical mind, always asks and identifies the risk as early as possible.
- Problem-solving and result-driven.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, activities, techniques, and processes
- Experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
- UI, API, and E2E test automation
- CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- ISTQB Certificate is preferred.
