Job Summary

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products meet both customer and company quality standards through inspections, testing, and data analysis. This role involves maintaining quality documentation, supporting audits, handling customer complaints, and communicating with both internal teams and clients.

Using inspection tools and equipment, the specialist measures and evaluates product characteristics and confirms compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate has practical experience with inspections and measurements, understands quality standards, and works proactively to improve quality in cooperation with the production team. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Conduct routine inspections and measurements to ensure products meet the quality standards specified by customers and the company.

· Maintain and manage daily inspection data, quality documents, and various records.

· Document measurement results using designated formats and present them to customers as needed.

· Manage retention samples in accordance with company procedures.

· Verify that products meet the required specifications and propose corrective actions when deviations are identified.

· Maintain and manage all documents required for audits.

· Communicate with external parties, including responding to audit-related inquiries.

· Oversee the calibration of inspection equipment and coordinate with external service providers.

· Perform regular internal quality audits.

· Record and analyze inspection results and measurement data to identify quality trends or issues, and initiate corrective actions internally when necessary.

· Handle customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

· Conduct root cause analysis, develop countermeasures, and implement horizontal deployment (sharing best practices across processes) in response to complaints.

· Support environmental surveys related to production activities.

· Collaborate with the production team to implement and improve quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.

· Develop, review, and maintain ISO documentation and internal quality control standards.

· Ensure the work area remains clean and safe in accordance with applicable health and safety standards.

· Create quality-related documents such as QC process charts, FMEAs, and other supporting materials.

· Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Skills

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

· Ability to operate measurement equipment

· Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)

· Understanding of mathematical concepts such as statistical methods and data analysis

· Organizational skills to manage plans, data, and reports

· Ability to read and interpret product drawings

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements / Work Environment Requirements

· Manual dexterity to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects using hands, arms, or both in coordination

· Visual acuity to see details at close range (within a few inches)

· Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds

· Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally stand, walk, or move around

· Ability to maintain focus and attention despite background noise or other distractions

Minimum Qualifications

· High school diploma or higher

· At least 3 years experience with Quality Control / Assurance responsibilities in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

· At least 5 years experience with Quality Control / Assurance responsibilities in a manufacturing environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
