Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer
Job Description:
OneScreen is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Pakistan. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the quality assurance process, going beyond standard testing procedures to help us deliver exceptional, reliable solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and execute test plans, scripts and cases to identify software defects and ensure software quality
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and establish clear testing objectives
- Identify, document and track issues to resolution, ensuring thorough defect management
- Perform manual and automated testing for both front-end and back-end systems
- Conduct functional, regression, performance and usability testing to ensure optimal user experience
- Communicate findings and coordinate with development teams for timely resolution of issues
- Participate in the software development lifecycle to ensure seamless integration of QA practices
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing strategies and best practices in manual and automated testing
- Experience in bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla or similar systems
- Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies and collaborative environments
- Knowledge of performance and load testing tools, such as JMeter, LoadRunner or similar is a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a reputable HEC-registered university
- 1-3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for detecting potential issues and areas for improvement
- Team player with excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with developers and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying, reporting and solving issues
