We’re looking for a hands-on Manual Software QA Engineer who thrives on complexity, takes ownership, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where no two test days look the same.
What you’ll actually do:
- Design and execute detailed manual test cases based on system requirements
- Test software and firmware on complex avionic systems
- Work hands-on with multidisciplinary platforms (SW, HW, comms, sensors)
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects through full resolution
- Analyze logs, investigate failures, and perform root-cause analysis
- Lead QA activities independently — with real ownership and accountability
- Collaborate closely with developers and system engineers to deeply understand system architecture and behavior
What you bring to the table:
- 5+ years of manual software testing experience
- SQA certification or equivalent professional background
- Experience testing avionic, robotic, or other complex multidisciplinary systems
- Solid understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and tools
- Experience writing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scenarios
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for finding the “unknown unknowns”
- You care about detail, structure, and clear documentation
- You take ownership and push issues until they’re truly solved
- You communicate clearly and work well in cross-functional teams
Bonus points if you have
- Hands-on experience with embedded or low-level testing
- Familiarity with communication protocols
- Experience with Jira, Zephyr Scale, or similar test management tools
