Software Quality Assurance Engineer Jobs in Center District, Israel at BlueBird Aero Systems Ltd.

Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Company: BlueBird Aero Systems Ltd.

Location: Center District, Israel

At BlueBird Aero Systems, we design, build, and deliver advanced tactical UAS tailored to our customer's homeland secruity needs. Our systems must work the first time, in the real world, where “good enough” simply isn’t.

Our software flies on real aircraft and supports real missions.

That’s why quality here is not a phase — it’s a mindset.

We’re looking for a hands-on Manual Software QA Engineer who thrives on complexity, takes ownership, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where no two test days look the same.

What you’ll actually do:

  • Design and execute detailed manual test cases based on system requirements
  • Test software and firmware on complex avionic systems
  • Work hands-on with multidisciplinary platforms (SW, HW, comms, sensors)
  • Identify, document, track, and verify defects through full resolution
  • Analyze logs, investigate failures, and perform root-cause analysis
  • Lead QA activities independently — with real ownership and accountability
  • Collaborate closely with developers and system engineers to deeply understand system architecture and behavior

What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of manual software testing experience
  • SQA certification or equivalent professional background
  • Experience testing avionic, robotic, or other complex multidisciplinary systems
  • Solid understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience writing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scenarios
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for finding the “unknown unknowns”
  • You care about detail, structure, and clear documentation
  • You take ownership and push issues until they’re truly solved
  • You communicate clearly and work well in cross-functional teams

Bonus points if you have

  • Hands-on experience with embedded or low-level testing
  • Familiarity with communication protocols
  • Experience with Jira, Zephyr Scale, or similar test management tools

Why BlueBird?

• Quality that directly impacts airborne missions

• Fast-moving, dynamic environment — no static products

• Close collaboration with developers and system engineers

• Real ownership and influence over system reliability

• Technology that goes from lab → aircraft → real-world operations
